Very often, babies fall asleep right away in our arms (in the sling) because they feel comfortable and safe. You can lay your baby down in their crib without needing to move them or take them out of the sling. This way the baby keeps the “warmth” of the sling, while your scent that lingers in it helps them carry on sleeping and not wake up!<\/p>\n

The instructions below apply both with a ring sling and with a pouch.<\/p>\n

We assume your baby is sleeping in the sling in the “lying-down position.” If your baby has fallen asleep in the “sitting position,” you’ll bring both their legs together, to the same side (the one opposite the rings), and bring them, in one movement, into the “lying-down position.”<\/p>\n

Now, you’ll lean over the baby’s crib, resting their little back there (together with the sling). You can loosen the rings a little to make it easier for you to take them out. Then you’ll pass the sling over your head and take it off, leaving it over the baby (you can even use it as a little sheet!).<\/p>\n
