How to carry your baby on your hip with a sling carrier (above the hip)<\/h1>\n

Many parents prefer to carry their baby on the hip, above the hip, just as we often hold our children in our arms. This is a variation of the upright\/seated position with legs out<\/a>, in which the baby “hugs” the body of the mum or dad carrying them with their legs.<\/p>\n

This position is suitable for babies who can support their head<\/strong> and who have at least momentary lateral support (that is, from about 4 months<\/strong> and up).<\/p>\n
