{"id":341888,"date":"2025-09-26T18:08:57","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T15:08:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.babywearing.gr\/?p=341888"},"modified":"2025-09-26T18:12:42","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T15:12:42","slug":"babywearing-counts-as-exercise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/babywearing.gr\/en\/babywearing-counts-as-exercise\/","title":{"rendered":"Yes, babywearing counts as exercise!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p data-start=\"118\" data-end=\"377\">Now that you\u2019re a new mom, you might feel stressed that you don\u2019t have time to work out (well, you don\u2019t have time for <em data-start=\"245\" data-end=\"255\">anything<\/em>, really \u2014 but let\u2019s stick to exercise for now).<br data-start=\"303\" data-end=\"306\" \/>Maybe we\u2019ve got the wrong idea of what actually <em data-start=\"354\" data-end=\"362\">counts<\/em> as exercise?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"379\" data-end=\"709\">For thousands of years, back in the hunter-gatherer societies, women were mainly responsible for gathering food, while men went hunting. Hunting was essentially aerobic exercise \u2014 cardio. And of course, there\u2019s nothing wrong with wanting to go for a run on your own! But keep in mind that carrying your baby* is actually one of the best forms of physical activity for your body. It <em data-start=\"1250\" data-end=\"1262\">definitely<\/em> counts as exercise!<br data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1292\" \/>Especially for us women (our bodies are literally built for carrying, it\u2019s part of our evolution), resistance exercise is incredibly important for our health.
